Today, the US government strongly suggested to all Americans ages 13 - 64 to be tested regularly for AIDS! As I read the article, I found myself being extremely sad and disgusted.
What does it suggest about the perceived faithfulness of typical American couple: married or non?
It seems to suggest that the majority of 13 year olds in America are either sexually active or intervenus drug users.
Or perhaps our national blood supplies cannot be trusted.

I agree. I also heard this topic the other week being discussed on a radio show I listen to. They were saying that it is a growing disease in the black community. According to the radio show it comes from the woman who are marrying inmates and when the men get out they are not having them wear condoms. The woman fail to realize that these men are having sex in prison with other men. The prison system is not testing these men for aids. That is a standard rule that everyone should follow when getting married. You need to have a health report done. It is for your own safety. Don't take the other person's word for it. It could be a matter of life and death.
This could be true, but wearing a condom won't stop the spread of the disease...it's just supposed to be used to keep you from getting pregnant.
Sex isn't looked at as a bad thing (outside of marriage) anymore. There's also the new age "Christian sex", which most people don't seem to have a problem with. As long as it's oral, or anything other than the actual act itself, it's Christian.
Most of the time, the adults who are instilling values into their children are the very ones who come across with the idea that it's okay to have sex before marriage. Mom and whoever else do...so it's not wrong.
Are they recommending this for people who are being sexually promiscuous or are they just recommending this for everyone in general?
